Although I made this in the Instant Pot, I have tried it in two other electric pressure cookers with good results.

ReplyDeleteShara,
Thanks to a bout of the flu, I finally had time to watch a 9+ minute video. I have so much interest in using the Instant Pot, and I got a lot of good info. The most helpful tip I got from this video was the one about how long to cook the rice pasta. I haven't had time to risk failure by cooking any in the pot--usually too much in a hurry and need to eat right away! Now that I have a baseline to start with, I very much want to make some Mac and cheese in mine. Mine probably won't be as fancy as yours--I don't think I have any Velveeta, but figure it will work with any cheese! Thanks for the info!
Oh no. I'm osrry you've been sick. It does work with any cheese. I just find it works best if I shred it. You can add a little milk to make it creamier. (My daughter thinks the rice pasta should be cooked a little longer. I like it slightly al dente. Test your pasta because you can always cook it a little longer or set it on saute to keep going.)
DeleteThat looks delicious and so creamy, Shara. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. My grandson loves it.
