Today I worked on a wearable muslin of this skirt pattern.
Looking at it on the hanger, it looks so short to me.
Ironically, it comes to my knees when it is on.
I like the straightforwardness of the pattern.
I like that it has pockets.
This particular fabric was left over from a shirt I made for my daughter.
I wasn't sure I would wear it, but it doesn't look bad with a solid top.
I've made note of what few adjustments I would make and have plans to make another skirt soon.
I love an A line skirt. They are so much more flattering to most women than a pencil skirt is. Love the fabric too.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love skirts of pretty much all shapes - although I am well passed the mini skirt age...rofl
DeleteI hope you are feeling better today. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am finally feeling human.
DeleteFeel better Bee! And I love the skirt...wish I had those skills but truthfully I am lucky if I can sew a button on a shirt! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love to sew....however, I don't claim to be an expert...lol.
DeleteYour skirt looks great. With a black turtleneck or t-shirt and black tights and flats it would be a classic. Hope you are doing better. Being ill just when the weather gets nice is the worst kind of sick. I'd be grumpy too!

Thanks! I think it will be a versatile piece, too.
